HS403 – Understanding Health Behaviours – 0.5 Credit

This course will explore the application of psychological theory and research to specific health issues. Coverage will include: research methods in health psychology; models of health behaviour; health behaviours (e.g., smoking, alcohol use, exercise); illness (e.g., eating disorders, cancer, AIDS); and stress. The focus will be on the role of psychological research and principles in the promotion and maintenance of health and in the understanding and prevention of disease. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 4 Health Studies. Exclusions CT400m.
