This course invites students to engage practically with information communication technologies and reflect theoretically on the increasingly central role that they play in their day-to-day lives. Exploring how new developments in social media, wireless, and mobile platforms have radically transformed information production, distribution, and circulation, this course challenges students to reflect critically on their participation in information ecologies and new media political economies.(Cross-listed as JN222 and MX222.)
