CT430/CO430 – Youth Cultures – 0.5 Credit

This course aims to engage students in critical and creative dialogues with contemporary youth cultures. The interplay between social control and resistance in youth cultures will be a key focus. Topics may include youth marketing, theories of subcultures, queer youth, intergenerational dialogues, homelessness and grassroots activism. (Cross-listed as CO430.) Prerequisites Registration status: Year 4 Honours Contemporary Studies or permission of the CT co-ordinator. Exclusions CO430, CT400e.
