KP302 – Theory of Coaching Rugby – 0.25 Credit

This course provides students with the opportunity to explore strategies for the two units of a rugby team (forwards and backs) with particular emphasis on lineouts, scrummaging, rucks, mauls and ball handling. The students develop game plans, evaluate performance, examine modified forms of the game (seven a side) and become familiar with the laws of the game and issues pertaining to safety. Prerequisites KP121, KP122.
