HS407 – Art and Health – 0.5 Credit

Over the past decade, health researchers and practitioners have begun to turn towards arts-based methodologies to disseminate findings, engage communities and impart knowledge. In the process, core questions regarding the techniques, utility and limitations of using art in the service of health sciences have surfaced. This course will consider how art, artmaking, illness and health intersect. Students will engage in critical reflection and practical art making as part of the requirements of the course. Prerequisites Year 4 Health Studies or Year 4 Health Administration or permission of the instructor. Notes 3 lecture hours
