The focus of this course is the study of health care occupations, and the professional and semiprofessional status of health care workers such as physicians, nurses and others. Topics may include: the socialization of health care workers, struggles for professionalization, feminization of health care occupations, health care work performed outside of large organizations, and challenges to health care occupations
