This course offers an introduction to Medieval and Renaissance French culture through history, literature and artistic achievements. The multi-media approach will link political, religious and cultural issues of this period, focusing on the succession of invasions, conquests, civil wars, crusades and the general atmosphere of divisions and violence. Prerequisites FR230 or permission of the department.
