CT470 – Work – 0.5 Credit

This course will consider the historical development of work, the evolution of work, and the changing nature and experience of work in Canada and its relationship to the emerging trends of globalization. The course will address such topics as the nature of work in the global economy, the evolving relationship between management and work, the demographics of work, employment and unemployment, the changing connections between work and leisure, the role of the state and other topics relating to work, the economy and society. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 4 Honours Contemporary Studies or permission of the CT co-ordinator.
