CH110 – Fundamentals of Chemistry I – 0.5 Credit

This course is designed to be a first university-level course in chemistry. This course, followed by CH111, prepares students for further studies in all subdisciplines of chemistry as well as laying the chemical foundations for studies in related disciplines such as biology, physics, geography, anthropology and psychology. Topics covered include trends in the periodic table, chemical bonding, 3-D structure of molecules, stoichiometry, introduction to reactions and reactivity. Prerequisites OAC Chemistry or Grade 12U Chemistry. Exclusions CH100*, CH101*, CH120. Notes 3 lecture hours, 3 biweekly lab hours
