The purpose of this course is to examine key facets of crime prevention. Students will be given the opportunity to learn about the nature of specific crimes, their consequences, and underlying root causes and their implications for primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. The course will focus on crime prevention programs and policies that have been developed in response to crime. Prerequisites CC100. Exclusions CC405L.
