Violence in the family is often linked to the use of alcohol and/or drugs. This course examines the cross-cultural, social, economic and emotional variables that contribute to the connection between the use of alcohol and drugs and violence in families. The effectiveness of intervention programs and self-help measures will be discussed. Prerequisites CC100 or HS201; and registration status: senior student.
