This course explores the use of audio-visual recording techniques in ethnographic fieldwork, the documentary representation of social groups and social action in still photographs and ethnographic film, and the study of representations of cultural difference in mass media imagery. Prerequisites AN101; Year 3 or Year 4 Anthropology program OR Year 3 or Year 4 honours status in an arts program. Notes 3 lecture hours
