PO424 – American Political Controversies – 0.5 Credit

An advanced course in American politics that will examine various debates and controversies. Topics include the original intent of the framers of the constitution, weaknesses of the electoral and party systems, whether the president can effectively govern, the legitimacy of the judiciary and the challenge of minorities. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 4 Honours Political Science, PO225 and PO226 (PO226 may be taken as a co-requisite). Exclusions PO324.
