PO321 – Global Political-Military Issues – 0.5 Credit

This course examines the crucial relationship between political initiative and military power as a lens for understanding how Canada and the international community attempt to deal with global security issues and crises. Focusing on this political-military dimension, major topic areas will include both specific crises – Afghanistan, the Balkans, China, the Middle East, Russia – and issues such as climate change and terrorism. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 3 or Year 4 and PO231 (or permission of the department). Exclusions PO310d.
