PO220 – Comparative Politics in Developing Countries – 0.5 Credit

An introduction to the study of political, social, and economic change and development in the Third World. This course begins with an exploration of the key concepts and theories in development studies. Next, drawing on examples from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, we will study some of the central issues at stake relating firstly to governance relations between the state and society, and lastly to political economy.
