MA487 – Mathematical Modelling in the Applied Sciences and Finance – 0.5 Credit

An introduction to modelling tools used in modern applications of mathematics, with examples from the applied sciences and finance. The course will focus on the translation of real-world problems into an appropriate mathematical context, and on their subsequent solution, with emphasis on the uniformity of the modelling approach over various disciplines. Prerequisites MA371 or permission of the department. Exclusions MA395c.
