This course will explore all significant facets of sentencing law and procedure. Students will become acquainted with the general principles of sentencing and key applicable cases. Topics will also include important Criminal Code provisions, pre sentence reports, victim participation as well as mitigating and aggravating factors in sentencing. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 4 registration in the Honours Law & Society program. Notes 3 lecture hours
