The course explores issues of international community, fundamental principles governing international relations and variety of subjects of international community such as states, insurgents and international organizations. Students will also learn how international legal standards are created and implemented internationally and by national systems. The course may also focus on selected contemporary problems in international law, for example, status of the UN, resort to force by individual states or a group of states, internationalresponse to global criminality and protection of the environment.
