KP413 – The Psychology of Injury Rehabilitation in Sport and Physical Activity – 0.5 Credit

A psychological examination of injuries sustained through participation in sport and physical activity and the subsequent rehabilitation, taking a multidimensional approach that includes psycho-social, cognitive, and behavioural components. Special attention will be given to a team approach to the psychological rehabilitation of injured people including kinesiologists, physicians, athletic therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, chiropractors, coaches, sport psychology consultants, and athletes. Prerequisites KP210, PS286 and registration status: Year 4 of the Honours KPE program or permission of the department.
