This seminar looks at what it was like to live in Italy during the Renaissance by examining three fundamental aspects of the human condition: love, sexuality and death. In the process, we will also deal with a variety of related subjects, such as law, politics and the state; gender, marriage and the family; religion, spirituality and philosophy; and grief and consolation. {P} {S} Prerequisites HI400.
