HI372 – Colonial and U.S. Women, 1607-1869 – 0.5 Credit

This course introduces students to gender analysis and key themes in North American women’s history from colonial settlement to the first women’s suffrage movement. Students will be introduced to feminist approaches in studying history, with special attention to the distinctiveness of women’s experiences and shifting definitions about "women’s nature." {P} {S} Exclusions HI346j.
