HI315 – East Central Europe in the 20th Century – 0.5 Credit

This course surveys the 20th-century histories of the countries of Eastern Europe. Topics to be covered may include: the creation of independent states in the aftermath of World War I; the collapse of interwar democracies; World War II and the Holocaust; the establishment of Communist regimes in the postwar period; and anti-Communist protest movements. {E} Exclusions HI346e.
