HE400 – Multidisciplinary Seminar on Critical Health Issues – 0.5 Credit

An in-depth seminar addressing current critical issues in the health sciences. Instructors and students will identify, investigate and discuss issues that may include: global health issues, new and emerging infectious diseases (e.g., SARS, Avian Flu), pandemics, natural disasters, and complex emergencies. Issues regarding health policies and access to medical resources, culture and communication between practitioners and patients will also be considered. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 4 Honours BSc Health Sciences.
