GS461 – Global humanitarianism: The paradoxes of giving – 0.5 Credit

In this interdisciplinary course we address the making of humanitarianism as a modern institutionalized practice and we reflect on the contemporary paradoxes of global humanitarian assistance, especially those faced by the recipients, experts and volunteers. Prerequisites Honours standing in Global Studies and at least 1.0 credit in 300 level GS courses, or permission of the instructor.
