GG356/ES356 – Development and the Environment – 0.5 Credit

An examination of the forms and challenges of development in South and South East Asia, Africa and Latin America, and the relationship to environmental change. Political and ecological perspectives will be used to understand change in the context of land, water and forest resources, agriculture and food security, coastal environments, rural livelihoods and urban systems. (Cross-listed as ES356.) Prerequisites GG101 and GG102, or ES101 and ES102, or permission of the department.
