This course offers an introduction to 17th- and 18-century French culture through history, literature and artistic achievements. Students will be introduced to important historical events, major figures and artistic trends through a multi-media approach, while focusing on the major political and social tensions which will lead to the Revolution. Prerequisites FR230 or permission of the department.
