EN395 – 17th-Century Literature – 0.5 Credit

The course will focus on 17th-century literary texts which consider the interrelations of love, sex, and desire; class and gender relations; colonization; political power; and the place of religion in society. Students will read texts by writers including, but not restricted to, John Donne, Ben Jonson, John Milton, Katherine Philips, John Webster, and Mary Wroth. Exclusions EN309x, EN354*.
