EC285 – Introductory Statistics – 0.5 Credit

An introduction to the foundations of statistical reasoning including probability theory, the law of large numbers, limit theorems, theories of point and interval estimation and statistical inference. This course will prepare students for further work in econometrics. Co-requisites Year 2 standing in Honours Economics or Honours Applied Economics or permission of the department. Exclusions BU205/EC205; EC235; BU255/EC255; MA141 or MA240.
