This course is intended to introduce students to the continent through the exploration of a specific theme and/or region. The aim is to reveal how misunderstanding continues to mark relations between Africa and the rest of the world even at a time when the massive cultural resources of the continent are being mobilized to address the significant challenges that it faces. Prerequisites Registration status: Year 3 or Year 4 Contemporary Studies (honours or general).
