An introduction to the analysis and understanding of visual culture. The course will draw on numerous historical and contemporary examples from art and architecture, film, television, new media and other forms of visual communication and culture. The course addresses both the formal analysis of images and a range of conceptual and theoretical issues associated with visual culture. Prerequisites CS100 or CS101. Notes 3 lecture hours
