CH459 – Biochemistry III: Membrane Transport, Signal Transduction and Anabolic Pathways – 0.5 Credit

This course introduces the ways molecules are transported through cell membranes and communicate within and in between cells, as well as the principles of biosynthesis in living cells. Topics include: transport of biomolecules and ions across cell membranes, signal transduction, regulation of metabolic pathways, anabolic pathways (e.g., carbohydrate, lipid, protein and nucleic acid biosynthesis). Prerequisites CH350. Exclusions CH353.
