This course presents both the theoretical and practical aspects of biotechnology. Topics include history and development of biotechnology, applications of chemistry and biochemistry in biotechnology, fermentation and bioprocessing, biotechnology in pharmaceutical, medical, food, agricultural and environmental sectors. Prerequisites CH250 or CH330. Co-requisites CH350 recommended.
