AN336 – Culture, Power and Politics – 0.5 Credit

This course introduces students to the major contemporary approaches to the study of politics and power in anthropology. Topics to be addressed include the state, civil society, citizenship, ethnicity, race and nationalism, sovereignty and violence. Prerequisites AN101; Year 3 or Year 4 Anthropology program OR Year 3 or Year 4 honours status in an arts program. Notes 3 lecture hours
